30. Aliens

Game over, man! We recall Aliens (1986), a sequel to a movie we remember being pretty good. There is a girl with the name of a small animal, Billy Pax, and a cat that is definitely dead (or definitely alive).

29. Independence Day

"Better late than never," is what we always say at Totes Recall. So what if it is August? We recall Independence Day (1996). It's been 20 years, which means we've had 20 years to forget about which monuments are blown up by aliens and who plays Jeffy G's dad.

28. Total Recall (2012)

Totes Recall just entered its terrible twos by recalling this terrible 2012 remake of Total Recall. Typically we try to watch a movie we've all seen, but this time we (p)recall the movie based on the original. We look forward to some crazy Arnie-style acting, Mars, and tummy muppets. Spoiler alert: we are sorely disappointed.

On our two-year anniversary, we would like to take this moment to thank all of our listeners for your continued support. Y'all are the best.

27. Romeo + Juliet

We all know the story of Romeo and Juliet, but can we recall what happens in Romeo + Juliet (1996)? We know it's an updated version of the story because of the plus sign (clearly). We know there is a nurse. We know it's going to be a bummer. But we definitely did not remember that Paul Rudd was in this movie. By the way, Paul Rudd is in this movie.

24. Con Air

On this episode of Totes Recall, we recall the insanity/masterpiece that is Con Air (1997). Two of us have seen it and two of us try to "recall" the movie based off GIFs and how movies work. How well can you remember a movie you've never seen? The answer is: pretty well.

23. Aladdin

It's that time of the year again where Totes Recall celebrates the season of love by watching one of the most romantic films of all time, Disney's Aladdin (1992). We can all agree that a street rat falls for a princess in the film, but does Jafar have magical powers the whole time?! That's the real debate.

22. Apollo 13

Houston, we have a podcast. We watched Apollo 13 (1995) and reached for the moon (and to be fair, we reach for a lot of things in this episode). We try to recall the astronauts aboard Apollo 13, if there is a training session in the beginning of the film, and we all gang up on Dan Jaquette.

19. Jumanji

Jumanji (1995). A game for those who seek to find a way to leave their world behind. And a movie that we think we remember pretty well. We ask the important questions. Is the lady from Frasier their aunt or mom? Who ends up winning the game? And do you know how when you make a building you need to dig a hole first?

18. Beetlejuice

It's showtime! Happy Halloween from all of us at Totes Recall. In celebration of all things creepy and crawly, we watched Tim Burton's Beetlejuice (1988). Beth tells us why Beetlejuice is her nemesis, we recall bureaucracy in the afterlife, and we try to remember what VHS means.

17. Freaky Friday

Two very unpleasant people swap bodies and learn nothing in this Lindsay Lohan-and-Jamie Lee Curtis picture. We're pretty sure we've blocked out most of Freaky Friday (2003) from our memories, but we recall what we can.

16. Big

Tom Hanks goes to bed a 12-year-old boy and wakes up a full-grown man in this beloved film, Big (1988). We try to recall what songs he plays on the floor piano, if his parents think he is at a sleepover or kidnapped, and who had top bunk. Plus, the return of a Totes fav, Did They Bang?

14. Jurassic Park

Hold onto your butts! We watched Steven Spielberg's action dino flick, Jurassic Park (1993). It was hard for any of us to forget the T. rex or Jeff Goldblum's performance, but what about the presence of pterodactyls or Samuel L. Jackson?
