124. Cinderella
Cinderella (1950)
Directors: Hamilton Luske, Wilfred Jackson, Clyde Geronimi
Starring: Ilene Woods, Eleanor Audley, Verna Felton, Rhoda Williams, James MacDonald
Synopsis: Cinderella (Ilene Woods) is an exceedingly patient (but secretly sassy) young lady forced to serve her cruel stepmother (Eleanor Audley) and her idiotic stepsisters (Rhoda Williams and Lucille Bliss) day in and day out while they seemingly do nothing but be rich(?) and annoying. All this changes when the King is mad that his son isn’t horny enough and declares that all maidens (yikes) of the land are to attend a ball. Cinderella’s chance to go to the ball are nearly thwarted by her stepmother’s insatiable need to psychologically destroy her at every turn. Thankfully, Cinderella built enough Trauma Points to get a visit from her Fairy Godmother (Verna Felton) for a magic makeover! But nobody cares about that. Here’s 45 minutes of animal hijinks!

“The moral of the story is always show feet.”
The Episode
We recall Cinderella (1950) because we thought it was a movie about romance, but it turns out it’s mostly about the dynamic between mice and cats. Plus, we judge Prince Charming, and talk about tiny hats and cool snakes.
