Synopsis: A group of young oddballs that call themselves The Goonies are going to lose their homes—or at least Mikey (Sean Astin) and Brand (Josh Brolin)’s home—to the soulless machine of capitalism unless they can come up with some money. Thanks to their museum curator father’s hoarding tendency and Mouth’s (Corey Feldman) fluency in Spanish, the Goonies learn of a pirate’s treasure secreted away under the town! After crossing paths with the cartoonish-yet-legitimately-threatening crimer family the Fratellis (Robert Davis, Joe Pantoliano, and Anne Ramsey), it’s a race against the clock to get the gold. But will Data (Ke Huy Quan)’s wacky gadgets, Andy (Kerri Green)’s horniness, and Stef (Marth Plimpton)’s bad attitude be enough? No! But fortunately Chunk (Jeff Cohen) befriends hulking mutant man-child Sloth (John Matuszak) mostly off-screen, and everything works out great!
